My name is Neal Ó Riain, I’m that fella up there on the left. I’m originally from Carlow, I was in London for a while, and now I’m living in Dublin. I used to be an astrophysicist, I did my doctoral research on the atmospheres of stars at Trinity College, Dublin.

I’m currently working at Automattic, where I’m doing all things Machine Learning. Previously I led the data and analytics orgs at Contentful and InVision. Before that again, I did various data science-y things at Amazon and Spotify.

My plan is to use this site for blog posts about things I’m working on or thinking about.
